I want to first introduce myself and share some of my background and teaching credentials with you; My name is Ann Henrikson. I have been married to my husband, Tracy, since 2003. Together we share 3 wonderful boys, Colton, Hayden, and Jason. I have been part of the Mt. Clemens Family since 1998. I have worn many hats during my 21 years here. In 1998, I started as a Physical, Swimming and Health Education teacher. During my career I have been a Dolphin (Washington elementary), Tiger (Seminole Academy), Bulldog (Junior High), and a Bather (High School). I have coached 7th, 8th grade volleyball, JV Volleyball and Varsity Softball. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from Wayne State University. From 1999 to 2001, I attended Saginaw Valley State University, while raising a family, working full time and coaching. I celebrated my learning and earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. In 2005, I decided to go back to SVSU and work to earn my certification in Learning Disabilities. I felt it was important to help all students even those that struggle to learn. In the Spring of 2007 I earned an endorsement in Learning Disabilities. In 2011, I was the lucky recipient of being named Teacher of the Year. This was one of my proudest accomplishments. The ultimate goal that I have for all my students is that they develop a patience to learn and understand the importance of education. My dream is to see ALL students whom I have worked with graduate and continue to soar into life!
